The new material exhibition “Nature” is a great success! Materials made from milk, silk, wool, snale excrements(!), aelges, bamboo, foamed ceramic, hemp, sting nettle;  it is amazing what we can make out of natural sources. Would you like to experience, feel and enjoy these materials too? Please contact e.zijlstra@materia.nl for details; this travelling exhibition can be hired!

Textile made of milk? Yes! Milkofil is an yarn derived from milk existing out of 65% cotton and 35% milk fiber. The fiber that is made from casein, which is the main protein in milk, has long-term emissions of negative ions. It is beneficial for air quality, it stimulates blood circulation, is a natural antibacterial agent and is sterile.

Architect and designer Rafael Schmidt designed the Bike Share System which should become an integral part of the city. The bicycles should function as censors and inform the system about certain behaviours, so that the system can react according to the situation. To predict the performance of a system, the entities have to exchange information.
