Deer horn floor panels ! Mosaik Böden is made from either small slices of tree branches or even real deer horn. These natural material slices are placed on a 70x50cm backing. The space in between is filled with a tranparent colourful resin available in four varieties; irregular transparent, regularly violet, irregular green.

Building your house with Cow Poo Building Bricks?
The group, from Prasetiya Mulya Business School in Indonesia, recently won the 2009 Global Social Venture Competition with their “EcoFaeBrick“, a quality, easily manufactured, low-cost and non-smelling sustainable building material made from cow dung.

During Architect at Work Liège/Luik in Belgium 4-5 june 2009, Els Zijlstra, will give a lecture about the endless possibilities of metal.  Materia will also present, at this fair, the ''Heavy Metal'' exposition with more than 150 metal material samples . Knitted or woven stainless steel, memory metal, it is all covered.

A glimpse into what the future of fiber holds. Talent met technology at the second Tokyo Fiber 09 Senseware Exhibition, a presentation of new materials developed with Japanese synthetic fiber technology. Stunning ideas were sought from architects, designers, automobile manufacturers, media artists and even a flower artist.
