In a world that excels, the surrounding area will also be transformed. Architecture and design are becoming less static concepts and almost seem to ‘communicate’ with both the observer and the user. This communication cannot happen without the use of innovative materials.
The new Materia exposition ‘Interaction’ will be presented at the Bau München for the first time and will be featuring a selection of materials which can change colour, give off light, change their shape, shrink and expand, and even react to sound.
Materia invites you to visit our new exposition on 19 January 2007 during the Bau München fair. You can find us in hall A6 stand no. 331 right next to the MacroArchitecture forum.
Do you have a question about materials? Materia has reserved this day especially for you as a creative professional to ask all your material-related questions. Els Zijlstra, Materia’s materials expert and creative director, will be present at our display stand on 19 January to answer any questions you may have regarding materials.
Product visions During the course of the day, Els Zijlstra will also be giving a talk in which she will be sharing her vision on creating successful cooperation between architects and manufacturers. Good product development cannot take place without a vision, and this vision often begins with designers and architects. When we look at product development, be it project-related or not, we can see some striking examples of very successful construction products that owe their existence largely to the vision of the architect. Why is this? How can success be steered? Close collaboration between architects and the industry is strongly recommended and this lecture from Materia is an attempt to get the ball rolling in the right direction. You are cordially invited to attend the talk, to be held from 16.00 to 18.00 hours in the MacroArchitecture forum adjoining the Materia stand.
We look forward to seeing you on 19 January at the Bau in München! If this date is not convenient, you are of course more than welcome to visit on a different day. For more information concerning Bau München, please go to www.bau-muenchen.de or www.materia.nl
